WERK the RUNWAY: Cycle 1 - Paulie Gibson

WERK the RUNWAY's fifth show featured looks from menswear designer Paulie Gibson, whose designs have been shown twice at Los Angeles Fashion Week and on the hit TV series America's Next Top Model Cycle 20.

"Fashion is literally
the fuel that drives me," says Paul Gibson.
"I always liked clothes.
I see fabric and I get goose bumps.
I am an artist presenting to the world."

Based in Saint Louis, Paulie Gibson is a contemporary menswear brand sold in boutiques and higher-end retailers around the world. The thoughtful designs, fabrications and silhouettes of fashion designer Paul Gibson are new to the American menswear market, bridging the style gap internationally. Gibson calls his clothing line "sartorial stimulation for the modern man."

WERK the RUNWAY took place on Saturday, April 11 at the Best Western Plus Conference Center in Morristown, Tennessee. The event included a roster of amazing models and runway looks by five incredible designers --- The Charming Housewife (Lacey Fleming), Marc Nelson Denim, Charles Josef Bridal, Victoria Wilmoth Couture, and Paulie Gibson. The finale for the show, titled "Once Upon A Time: Fairy Tale Meets Fashion" was a collection styled by Eric McKinney and Missy Young and featuring Alice's painted flower dress created out of flowers by the Blossom Shop, providing an edgy and high fashion take on popular fairy tale characters like Snow White, Alice, Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and several others.

Hairstyling for the runway was provided by Mackenzie Lane Knisley, Valerie Harville, Stephanie Greene, and Melissa Shelton. Music was provided by DJ Preston Husk, and the event was MC'd by Andi Beason. Styling and backstage assistance by Leah Noe and Frankie O'Neil.
