Knoxville Fashion Week: Southern Grace - Set 1

If you attended Knoxville Fashion Week, then I’m sure you caught a glimpse of the amazing designs of Southern Grace. With an education in Marketing, the owner of Southern Grace knows that it’s important to give the customer what they want. That’s why Lacey Fleming has one mission in mind for the boutique that she runs with her sister-in-law, Leah. It all started while they were spending a day out shopping, discovering lots of trendy clothes but not loving the prices. “Our mission is to make women look and feel beautiful without having to spend a fortune to do so,” says Lacey Fleming. “Our inspiration behind Southern Grace is that it only takes one piece of jewelry or the perfect dress to make someone feel beautiful, and we strive to bring that to women everyday.” The boutique and label takes its name from the owners being raised in the South and their faith playing an important role in their lives. "We want to treat people with the same Southern, Christian values that we were raised by," she smiles.

For Lacey, the stepping stone into the fashion industry started back in my childhood, when she was sketching skirts and always finding new ways to rework pieces she already had in her closet. “I learned from a young age, my parents were not going to run out and buy me every new trend of clothing that came out,” says Lacey. There were not many affordable options, but that’s something that she is striving to change with her own boutique. “Our dream is really for everyday women,” she adds. “We want all women who shop at Southern Grace to feel beautiful and not blow the budget.”

During this year’s Knoxville Fashion Week, Lacey chose to do a Boutique Showcase, showing off all of the different labels and styles that they carry.  She is excited about this fall when Southern Grace will launch the first collection of their own label and their original pieces.
