#612CrossCountryRoadTrip / Grand Teton National Park

On my trip across the country last fall, during the drive west, I visited Grand Teton National Park in northwestern Wyoming. Grand Teton National Park encompasses the Teton Mountain Range (which rises up to 13,775 feet at its highest peak) as well as the valley of Jackson Hole and the winding Snake River. Arriving in late September, I was surprised to find several inches of fresh snow on the ground and temperatures several degrees below freezing.

#612roadtrip / Everglades National Park

During my recent road trip through Florida, I drove the Tamiami Trail through what is known as "Alligator Alley." I visited the Everglades National Park, where I rented a bike to explore the Shark Valley trail. The trail allowed me the opportunity to come within feet of some of the park's massive American Alligators and a wide range of birds.
