WERK the RUNWAY: Cycle 3 - Intro

   WERK the RUNWAY: Cycle 3 brought a high fashion runway event to Morristown, Tennessee for the third time on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Country Club. With a sold-out crowd and an amazing line-up, Cycle 3 was our biggest success yet. According to guests, the show gets "bigger and better every time." 
   WERK the RUNWAY is co-hosted by award-winning makeup artist Missy Young and internationally-published fashion & fitness photographer Eric McKinney of 6:12 Photography. 
   Makeup for the show is by MUA Missy Young. 
   Hairstyling was provided by Harley Chandler, Desiree Huskey and Cassandra Wolfe with the Tennessee Institute of Cosmetology. 
   Music for the runway was provided by DJ Preston Husk. 
   Introducing each set of designs was our MC Andi Beason.

 For the Cycle 3 Finale, we focused on delivering high fashion with a message. The Finale was titled "Words CAN Hurt Me," designed to bring awareness to the damaging effects of bullying in our country's schools. Approximately 160,000 teens skip school each day because of bullying...

WERK the RUNWAY: Cycle 2 took place on Saturday, September 26 at the Country Club in Morristown, Tennessee. The event included a roster of amazing models and runway looks by seven incredible designers --- MG: Soli Deo Gloria (Marian Gibson), Marc Nelson Denim, Charles Josef, our emerging designer Tricia Michelle Ellis, BLO Vintage Jewelry, Shadow Oak Maille (Kelly Jones) and KC Leatherwerks (Diane Corey), and local boutique Roadside Revival. The finale for the show, titled "Kicked Out of Eden: The 7 Deadly Sins" was a collection styled by Eric McKinney and Missy Young and featuring Adam and Eve's leaf-covered swimwear created by Eric and Missy out of leaves from the Blossom Shop, providing an edgy and high fashion take on the introduction of sin and its many forms.

The event was co-hosted by makeup artist Missy Young and photographer Eric McKinney of 6:12 Photography. Hairstyling for the runway was provided by Mackenzie Lane Knisley, Brooke Crawford and Juliana Stafford. Music was provided by DJ Preston Husk, lighting was provided by The Sound Guys, and the event was MC'd by Andi Beason. Makeup artistry was provided by MUA Missy Young.

WERK the RUNWAY: Cycle 1 - Marc Nelson Denim

WERK the RUNWAY's second show featured looks from Knoxville's Marc Nelson Denim and designer, Marcus Hall.

"Denim has long been a fabric that has helped shape the life of Tennessee-native Marcus Hall. After immersing himself in the denim industry of Los Angeles and learning the details of denim design and production, Marcus decided to create a business focused on luxury denim and t-shirts, and he brought it home to Knoxville with a mission to bridge the gap between the avant garde culture of LA and the traditional style of the South. Marc Nelson Denim specializes in premium custom-fit and tailored denim jeans for men and women."

WERK the RUNWAY took place on Saturday, April 11 at the Best Western Plus Conference Center in Morristown, Tennessee. The event included a roster of amazing models and runway looks by five incredible designers --- The Charming Housewife (Lacey Fleming), Marc Nelson Denim, Charles Josef Bridal, Victoria Wilmoth Couture, and Paulie Gibson. The finale for the show, titled "Once Upon A Time: Fairy Tale Meets Fashion" was a collection styled by Eric McKinney and Missy Young and featuring Alice's painted flower dress created out of flowers by the Blossom Shop, providing an edgy and high fashion take on popular fairy tale characters like Snow White, Alice, Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and several others.

Hairstyling for the runway was provided by Mackenzie Lane Knisley, Valerie Harville, Stephanie Greene, and Melissa Shelton. Music was provided by DJ Preston Husk, and the event was MC'd by Andi Beason. Styling and backstage assistance by Leah Noe and Frankie O'Neil.
